For what it's worth, although conversations elsewhere seem to indicate the plan may be to keep this...

The only thing I could tell htmx was contributing was that some things were done with XHR instead of page refreshes. That, by itself, could be a nice progressive enhancement. However, I eventually figured out that it was apparently because of something to do with htmx that after interactions such as bookmark, unbookmark, like, and so forth...the inbox was ending up scrolled back to the top instead of scrolled to the item I had interacted with, and I definitely wasn't willing to put up with that anymore. Deleting the script tag (and the js file) and rebuilding my site seems to have fixed that problem.

I may be trying to rebase onto the new 2.1 branch and see what the rest of you have been up to this weekend.
