I didn't use == "linux" here, since it's explicitly not available on Windows and MacOS, but available on non-Linux platforms (e.g. NetBSD) (source link).

A comment can't hurt, but I'm not sure whether the source link (which will change between versions anyway and is in danger of becoming outdated) is worth it.
