The current TypeScript config checks the library and example together, so the workspaces cannot use project references or incremental checks. It also keeps the compiler on 5.9. This PR gives
package/andexample/referenced configs and runs typechecking in build mode with TypeScript 7.0.2. Tooling that imports the TypeScript API continues to use the TypeScript 6 compatibility package.This PR builds on #142, which moves the library into
package/. Generated declarations and build metadata stay in.tsbuild, which lint and Jest ignore.
