Summary

Adds the August 7 changelog entry covering customer-facing Kernel changes shipped since the July 31 entry.

Product updates

  • Kernel Terraform provider on the Terraform Registry (v0.1.0)
  • Hypeman v0.3.0, including persistent builders, safer auto-standby, and the new default port
  • CUA CLI 0.9.0 alongside @onkernel/cua-agent and @onkernel/cua-ai 0.10.0
  • Managed auth login panel on the MCP server, as the new open_auth_login tool
  • Proxy deletion protection for live managed auth connections
  • MCP server error transparency and the new tool-call context field
  • Per-browser OTLP export destination selection
  • CONNECT support for public destinations on non-standard ports
  • Browser session search by profile name (GET /browsers?query= and the dashboard)
  • A visible dashboard search button for the existing command palette

Documentation updates

  • URLAllowlist navigation-restriction example on the Chrome policies guide
  • Refreshed browser pools guides and standardized terminology

Verification

Each item was checked against the shipped artifact rather than the merge alone: registry, GitHub release, and npm publish timestamps; live tool schemas on the production MCP server; successful production deployments for the API, dashboard, and egress-proxy changes; and merge dates on main for the documentation updates. Everything listed landed after the July 31 entry.

Two draft items were dropped because they didn't ship in this window — the dashboard TTL fix went out in late May, and the past-session search fix went out before the July 31 entry. The Terraform bullet was also narrowed: only browser pools and projects are resources, while profiles, proxies, and extensions are data sources.

Note

Validated through the end of August 5 EDT. Anything merging on August 6–7 should be added before this entry publishes.

Cover the week's product updates: the Terraform provider release, the
CUA CLI 0.9.0 / cua-agent + cua-ai 0.10.0 releases, the MCP server's
managed auth login panel, MCP error transparency and tool-call context,
browser session search by profile name, and the just-html viewer
additions. Plus the two documentation updates from the same window.

Stale comment

Risk assessment: Very Low

Verdict: Remains Very Low after re-evaluation on the latest sync. Prior approval stands; not re-approving.

What changed (from the current diff):

  • Single file: changelog.mdx (+21 / −0)
  • Adds one <Update label="August 7"> changelog block with product and docs bullets
  • Latest commit removes an unrelated changelog item vs the previously approved tip
  • No application code, config, infra, auth, or shared library changes

Why Very Low:

  • Documentation-only content on the public changelog page
  • Small, easy-to-review additive edit with no production logic or operational surface
  • No blast radius beyond published docs copy
  • Risk did not increase since the prior approval on 7ef83472

Action: Comment only. Existing approval retained. No CODEOWNERS file present; no reviewers assigned.
