Move the exact Node pin to devEngines.runtime and let setup-vp resolve it. Remove .nvmrc and preserve the supported engines.node range in Renovate.

Pin the development runtime to Node 26.9.0 through Vite+ using package.json devEngines.runtime. Keep engines.node at >=24 as the supported range.
Remove .nvmrc and its CI/release workflow references. Let setup-vp resolve the project runtime automatically, and exempt the supported Node range from Renovate's global pinning rule.
Validation: local lint/format and extension unit tests pass. GitHub CI verifies Node selection, installation, bundling, and the GNOME 50 Wayland smoke test before merge.
