The current solution will change the existing API semantics of the barGapInGroup percentage value: the calculation basis is changed from bandWidth to the actual column width, resulting in changes to the existing configured layout. The merge of this PR is suspended and closed; the requirements of #3660 are retained and will be advanced after the compatibility plan is clarified later.
