Elecrow CrowPanel Advance 7.0" support ?

Hello,

I would like to know what will takes to work on port for the CrowPanel Advance 7.0 from the current 5.0 compatible one. CrowPanel Advance 7.0-HMI ESP32

It comes with 2 versions 1.0 and 1.2. I've already noticed 1.2 seems to be a bit tricky due to backlight handling as per this ticket meshtastic/firmware#7126 related to meshtastic project.

Hi! It's probably fairly easy to implement as it's an RGB panel. Elecrow has pretty decent docs and implementing 6 other devices was relatively easy for me.
Having a reference implementation like Meshtastic is also super helpful when debugging issues with a new implementation for Tactility.

I read the meshtastic thread and setting the backlight on panel v1.2 with I2C is very straight-forward with tactility using tt::hal::i2c::masterRead()
Supporting all hardware variants is a bit trickier, because you have to do hardware detection by scanning the I2C bus. That's what Meshtastic is doing currently.
For I2C, Tactility can detect a device with tt::hal::i2c::masterHasDeviceAtAddress(port, address, timeout)

Elecrow is a sponsor to Tactility, so I could request them to send hardware. I have limited resources, so it would not be on a short notice.

is there any new News/Update on the Support of the "ESP32-S3 CrowPanel Basic 7 Zoll" ?
I would very much like the use the Panel as a HA Dashboard Viewer and this Project would fit perfectly for that need :)
