…ESSAGE_REQUESTED event New "Apple Retention Messaging" guide in Retention & win-back: what the feature does, Apple's pre-release access request, setup flow (URL registration, ~1h performance test), message authoring & approval lifecycle, product × locale defaults, targeting rules with the subscription-group pitfall, and how to measure the cancel funnel.
Apple support confirmed a retention promotional offer behaves like a regular purchase and may target another plan than the one being cancelled. The Targeting section no longer restricts offers to the current product and presents the discounted-switch use case.
