Because I am a pleb student, button storage is simply done using text files, with newline characters as delimiters for the input stream to distinguish where things start and end. In implementing #3 I found that a button ID system was needed so I could more easily remove individual buttons. This is a significant learning curve for me and will require some research... further justifying the need for a major version number upgrade :P
