• LATEST_STATE.md — prepend of the merged-PR section with the merge hash. States the net contract-inventory delta is none (the probe consumes contract::shape_rank from #1181, adds no type or column), and reads the D-BLW-5 STATUS_BOARD row through its Update 2026-09-05 line rather than the stale PAUSED text kept above it by append-only.
• SUPERSESSION-INDEX.md — regenerated last, after the board writes, per the ordering rule. Output unchanged.

Citations use stable anchors (board id / heading text), not line numbers into append-only files.
