Show received results when cancelling a long query

Sometimes a query takes very long to fetch all results, but it is enough for me and I would just like to see the ones fetched already.
In this picture, does "Number of rows read" mean those rows were already transferred to SquirrelSQL?
If yes, could we see those at least when we click CANCEL?

The answer to your question is Yes.

Your request would be easy to implement, see the attached patch. But I don't understand why it is needed because the rows that were read when the execution was canceled are displayed in the result table and the number of these rows is right above the table.

not sure what you mean? When I cancel, the tab disappears and I end up with this:

Is this a setting I need to enable?
Or was that introduced in a later version ? (I'm using 5.0.0)

Sorry, I cannot reproduce your screenshot.
Could post which database and JDBC driver you use and could you check SQuirreL's logs to see if an error occurs when you reproduce the problem?

...Yes, my Db2 11.5 and 12.1 are running on AIX, I am using SQuirreL SQL 20260126_1914 with Db2 driver (db2jcc4.jar) 12.1.2.0 running on Java 25 from Temurin. I am not using any JDBC driver properties. I verified, that hitting Cancel, when running "select * from MY_TABLE", displays just only partial (already loaded) result data. So as Gerd said. Of course, there has to be non 0 number of "Number of rows read" as You wrote. The same behaviour is on other databases like Elasticsearch.
