Unable to Connect Git

From the backend of this server, I am able to clone the repo without any issue

Is this the current version? Can you tick debugMode and check the splunkversioncontrol_backup.log?

So i made no changes, just inputted the same and then I just checked on the "Debug" option, that's all....i went through. not sure what was stopping this last time.

Will the back up been taken automatically ? because I can only able to see the SPlunk restore dashboard int eh splunkversioncontrol app

If you tick more settings on the backup input you can set an interval there...

Did you get git_name or git_email in the config?

I configured git_email and git_name in the configuration page itself. then it worked.

1 question, I can't see any lookup files in the backup, is that expected ? i can only see lookup definition, NOt the lookup entries

My original intention is, I need to take a backup of the lookups, macros, savedsearches from the Splunk cloud instance

1. I installed "version control for Splunk cloud" in the Splunk Cloud instance
2. "Version control for Splunk" is installed in another Splunk enterprise instance locally in my machine.
3. Now I have to collect the details from Splunk cloud and push that to the git repo locally
4. So I went ahead and configured an input in the Splunk enterprise to collect the data from Splunk cloud, I am getting the below error.
5. git_test1 user is with sc_admin role. when I did get I can connect to the Splunk Cloud instance. so should not have any network issues from my view. Also, I tried to login into the Splunk cloud instance with this user git_test1, I can log in without any issues.

As per the README.md

Splunk Cloud

Install this application as per the standalone instance documentation above onto a non-SplunkCloud instance, install the VersionControl For SplunkCloud on the SplunkCloud instance
Note that in SplunkCloud the only option is the splunkversioncontrol_restore dashboard, the dynamic dashboard cannot be used in SplunkCloud
Configure the remoteAppName within the Splunk Version Control Backup & Splunk Version Control Restore modular inputs to "SplunkVersionControlCloud"

There is no rest api to access lookup contents. If you install the lookup editor app that might give you a rest endpoint to use but I haven't tested it
