Patchman identifies client repositories using reported repository names and URLs.
The same package stream can be exposed through multiple delivery mechanisms such as Red Hat CDN, AWS RHUI, Satellite, Pulp, or an internal metadata mirror. These can be logically equivalent for update calculation but appear as unrelated repositories.
Expected behaviour:
Administrators should be able to define repository aliases or canonical mappings based on repository name, ID, URL regex, architecture and/or repository type.
Impact:
Useful for AWS RHUI, Red Hat Satellite, local Pulp mirrors, disconnected environments, repository proxies and multi-datacenter deployments.
