In most European languages, comma is the correct decimal separator. However, sometimes people still use a period.
An example: For both Greek and Norwegian, the number <mn>5.0</mn> is read as "50". It would be better to have it read as "5 dot 0".
Would it be possible to change the rules, such that for languages using
- comma as the decimal separator
- space as the thousand separator (and not period)
a number with a period would be read literal? Like "5 dot 0".
