Hey, bit late to the party but I just found the videos.
If you can't run the fractal, then the "Main Camera" object has the fractal master script inside it. Changing the "Power increase speed" will make it run.

But I haven't figured out why the second camera exists or why it even has any scripts assigned to it. :/

You have to :

• install a merge tool (like DiffMerge - Sourcegear) on your pc
• restart unity project
• go to edit -> preference -> external tools -> revision control Diff/Merge and select SourceGear DiffMerge
• On Project tab, in Asset/Scenes folder,
  • create a new scene
  • drag and drop Mandlebulb scene into your new empty scene
  • merge will fix automaticly
  • accept and save
• double click on your new scene (if you have two main camera, select the second**) and it works

** In order to make this work, you have to duplicate the settings from the first main camera like the capture
