Qrevo Curv 2 Pro: willing to help obtain firmware dump

What problem would this solve?

Hi! I have a Qrevo Curv 2 Pro and saw that this model is currently unsupported because a firmware dump is needed for the newer v2 region endpoint.

I’d be happy to help obtain the dump if it would help add support.

However, I’m not experienced with firmware extraction and I’d really like to avoid any possibility of bricking the vacuum. Could someone provide a safe, model-specific procedure for extracting the firmware, ideally without modifying/flashing anything?

I’m happy to provide any other logs or information that would be useful as well.

Hello, unfortunately I don't think there is a way to do this with no risk of bricking. In the past, this always required a disasembly, soldering to the board, rooting the device and enabling SSH to extract the data from the EEPROM. I am not aware of any ther way to do this and this and the exctration was only possible thanks to exposed UART points on the motherboard, which may or may not still be there.

In any case if you still want to go for it, the first step, in my opinion, would be to disasemble the robot to find out if the UART pins are there. If so, try to get as far as possible from the expirience we already got from previous models.

I actually was able to acquire a board that uses the new onboarding format - been kind of pausing on this repo until I get the firmware dump of it out. Should be soon

Amazing if you can get it working. I just ordered Saros 20 Sonic and would have offered the board to you as well. I can help with testing once it arrives. I will also donate if you get it working. Thanks alot!
