We have had many issues with people just copy and pasting between files and it breaking everything, for objects like the navigation bar and footer I will be making pseudo elements so if the navigation bar needs to be fixed you can just edit one location and it will update to every page.
As far as the home page goes in terms of being tricky because it is one folder out so you have to change links and such I will be making the index.html redirect you to a new home.html that will be in the html folder along with all of the other previously made pages, if you don't see where I'm going with this it basically makes it so that the linking on the homepage is the exact same as all of the others.
