GUI version
0.1.7
Operating system
macOS (Apple silicon)
Reproduction steps
Description:
Completed todo items remain permanently visible in the session TODO panel. Calling todo_write({"todos": []}) succeeds at the API level but the GUI panel does not re-render. Restarting the desktop app does not clear them.
Steps to Reproduce:
- Create 2-3 todo items via
todo_write during a session
- Mark each as
"status": "completed" as you finish them
- Notice completed items remain in the panel (expected behavior — they should show as done)
- Call
todo_write with {"todos": []} to clear the list
- Observe the session TODO panel still shows the completed items
- Restart the desktop app — completed todos remain stuck
Want me to format this into the actual GitHub issue submission or do you want to copy it over yourself?
Expected behavior
Expected: Panel clears to empty after todo_write([]).
Actual behavior
Actual: Completed todos permanently stuck until a new session is started.
Notes: This blocks the user from starting a fresh todo list within the same session. The only recovery is starting a completely new chat
Screenshots, recordings, or sanitized logs
